According to the patent, Huawei is developing a solid-state battery architecture with an energy density between 400 and 500 Wh/kg—reportedly three times higher than that of conventional lithium-ion cells used in today's electric vehicles.
Huawei CloudLi Smart Lithium Battery integrates advanced power electronics, IoT, and cloud technologies, offering intelligent energy storage solutions with real-time monitoring and management for optimized power use.
Additionally, the company claims that this new battery pack may have solved a major issue that the current battery packs have. In the filed patent, Huawei notes that by doping sulfide electrolytes with nitrogen, the company is developing a battery pack with enhanced electrochemical stability, improved safety and reduced degradation.
