In this study, the optimization of a multisource hybrid photovoltaic (PV)/Wind/Diesel/Fuel cell (FC) system is performed to meet three realistic loads demand for heavy, medium and small activities observed at Figuil, Cameroon.
Their findings indicated that employing solar, wind, and biogas is the most affordable alternative, and that incorporating a fuel cell to the system will enhance prices by 33–73% while simultaneously enhancing design flexibility.
As a result, to increase the reliability, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility of the hybrid systems, diesel generators are frequently utilized as a standby energy supply in conjunction with renewable power sources.
